New Tech, Threats In Focus For Canada's Market Watchdogs

Law360 (June 26, 2019, 6:19 PM EDT) -- Canadian securities regulators are increasingly collaborating with each other and their counterparts in the U.S. and other countries to stamp out misconduct in the capital markets and are using new technologies to do so, according to a report released Wednesday.

The fiscal year 2018/19 enforcement report by the Canadian Securities Administrators said the organization's members, 10 provincial and three territorial securities regulators, worked with one another and with regulators in other jurisdictions to prevent misconduct, especially in the face of new technologies and threats.
