Facebook, BigLaw Attys Among Calif. Judicial Vetters

Law360 (June 26, 2019, 8:12 PM EDT) -- California Gov. Gavin Newsom made public for the first time Wednesday the names of individuals who vet state judicial candidates, a list that includes a top Facebook lawyer and attorneys from Boies Schiller Flexner LLP and Cooley LLP, along with more than 100 other lawyers and judges from around the state.

A statement from the governor's office hailed the move to reveal the names of the members of the Judicial Selection Advisory Committees as a "historic" step toward transparency.
