Disney And Shamrock Sue Software Maker IPass

Law360 (October 12, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Incensed by network software maker IPass Inc.’s failure to release information relating to an unprofitable merger, Shamrock Activist Value Fund, an investment company owned by Roy Disney, sued the company in a Delaware court on Tuesday.

Shamrock, which is part of Disney’s Burbank, Calif-based Shamrock Holdings Inc., asked the court to force IPass to turn over boardroom records so that it could investigate the alleged mismanagement of the takeover of rival GoRemote Internet Communications Inc. last year.
