ITC Rescinds Motorola Order In Tessera 337 Spat

Law360, New York (August 20, 2009, 1:51 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has rescinded a cease-and-desist order it issued against Motorola Inc., in a case Tessera Inc. brought against companies including Spansion Inc. and Qualcomm Inc. over two semiconductor chip patents.

ITC Secretary Marilyn Abbott signed off on an order Tuesday granting a joint petition from Tessera and Motorola to rescind the cease-and-desist order, which the two companies filed at the end of July after entering into a licensing agreement.
