2nd Circ. Denies Class In Hartford Disability Spat

Law360, New York (August 20, 2009, 3:51 PM EDT) -- A disabled man who sued Hartford Life & Accident Insurance Co. for not paying interest on delayed disability benefit payments has failed to show commonality among 24,000 putative class members and thus is not entitled to class certification, a federal appeals court has affirmed.
