Microsemi Divests Semicoa To Settle Antitrust Suit

Law360, New York (August 20, 2009, 6:09 PM EDT) -- The federal government has reached a settlement in an antitrust case against Microsemi Corp. that will see the semiconductor manufacturer divest itself of all the assets it acquired during a takeover of Semicoa Inc., another semiconductor maker.

Without the proposed settlement, filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, there would be no effective competition among manufacturers of certain semiconductors used in military and space programs, the Justice Department said.
