Bandag Wins $14.3M Award From Bankrupt Chemtura

Law360, New York (August 24, 2009, 5:26 PM EDT) -- An arbitration panel has ordered bankrupt chemical producer Chemtura Corp. to pay about $14.3 million to tire maker Bridgestone Bandag LLC for allegedly inflating rubber chemical prices.

On Friday, Bridgestone Bandag — a subsidiary of Bridgestone Corp. that was formerly known as Bandag Inc. — filed an unopposed motion with the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California seeking an order confirming the award.
