E.U. Backs Out Of Adobe, Microsoft Battle

Law360, New York (October 16, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The European Commission has indicated that software maker Adobe Systems Inc. must talk to rival Microsoft Corp. if it wants to learn of the changes the industry giant has made to its new Windows Vista operating system.

After a lengthy battle, Microsoft acquiesced on Friday and opted to revamp Vista to meet all of the antitrust requirements set forth by the European Union and South Korea.
