Benitec Sues Biotech Rivals Over RNAi Gene Silencing Technology

Law360 (March 26, 2004, 12:00 AM EST) -- Australian biotech company Benitec has filed patent infringement lawsuits in the U.S. District Court in Delaware against rivals Nucleonics, Inc., Ambion, Inc., and Genscript, alleging that the three companies infringe its gene silencing technologies.

The lawsuit alleges that the three companies are infringing issued US Patent No. 6,573,099, entitled "Genetic Constructs for Delaying or Repressing the Expression of a Target Gene."
