Utah Seeks Fast Call On Venue Shift In Oil Leases Suit

Law360, New York (August 28, 2009, 1:31 PM EDT) -- The state of Utah has asked a federal judge to speed up his decision on its request to move a high-profile case over oil leases on 77 parcels of land to a different court.

Utah, along with one of several state agency defendants, filed motions Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia to stay briefings and expedite consideration on a change of venue request.
