8th Circ. Rules In Epic Spat Over Crooked Coin Shop

Law360, New York (August 31, 2009, 2:28 PM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has upheld rulings rejecting attacks on a bankruptcy trustee in a 17-year fight over claims stemming from a Minnesota-based rare coin firm that got caught up in a deceptive practices investigation and went belly-up.

Thursday's ruling in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit said Chapter 7 trustee John R. Stoebner acted properly in the case of T.G. Morgan Inc. and cited an October 2008 opinion issued by the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel for the Eighth Circuit.
