Baker Hughes Still On Hook In $37M Suit: 5th Circ.

Law360, New York (September 1, 2009, 2:36 PM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has upheld a lower court's decision that a reciprocal indemnity agreement between oil and gas consultant Baker Hughes Inc. and marine services provider Tidewater Inc. frees the latter firm of financial liability in an employee accident suit, thus leaving Baker solely responsible for $37 million in damages.
