Jury Awards Softscape $2.9M in Trade Secrets Dispute with Cambria Consulting

Law360, New York (October 22, 2003, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Suffolk County, NY jury found Cambria Consulting liable in a lawsuit over misappropriation of trade secrets brought by Softscape and awarded the plaintiff $2.9 million in damages, Softscape said in a statement.

The jury found that Cambria breached confidentiality and used Softscape's trade secrets to build its own software and services solutions, according to Softscape. Cambria was accused of breaching a Licensing Agreement by divulging or using Softscape's confidential information, and competed with Softscape in breach of a non-competition provision in its licensing agreement....
