Fiserv Off Hook In Check-Validation Patent Suit

Law360, New York (September 3, 2009, 10:53 AM EDT) -- Fiserv Inc.'s Secure Seal check validation system does not infringe a self-authenticating technology patented by Advanced Software Design Corp. because Fiserv does not, on its own, perform all the claims in the relevant patent, a federal judge has ruled.

In the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri Monday, Judge Catherine D.
