Medical Device Maker Claims Patent Suit Botched

Law360, New York (October 18, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Cook Biotech Inc. has asked a federal court in Indiana to declare that a product used to reinforce suture lines doesn’t infringe a patent held by rival medical device maker Synovis Life Technologies Inc., following what Cook Biotech contends was a botched lawsuit in which Synovis named the wrong defendant.
