EPA Settles With Green Groups On Radon Emissions

Law360, New York (September 4, 2009, 3:19 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has agreed to expand public participation and transparency as it reviews its monitoring of radon emissions from uranium mills.

The move settles a lawsuit against the agency, which filed a joint motion to stay the case Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado. The settlement lays out specific steps the EPA will take to address an old subsection of federal law governing the carcinogenic gas.
