Travelers, Boston U. Reach Deal In Leaky Pipes Suit

Law360, New York (September 8, 2009, 5:06 PM EDT) -- Travelers Property Casualty Co. has reached a settlement with the Trustees of Boston University and certain other parties regarding a $6 million claim over a leaky biowaste removal system at the university's new infectious diseases laboratory.

Judge Nancy Gertner of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts entered an order Tuesday dismissing the action without costs. However, she allowed any party to reopen the case within 30 days if the settlement is not consummated.

The terms of the deal were confidential.
