Arthrex Wins Judgment In ACL Surgery Patent Suit

Law360, New York (September 10, 2009, 1:02 PM EDT) -- Orthopedic surgery specialty company Arthrex Inc. has won a long-running patent infringement case — its third over the same product — on a motion for summary judgment against a Johnson & Johnson subsidiary.

In his ruling Sept. 4 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Judge James M. Rosenbaum chastised Johnson & Johnson subsidiary DePuy Mitek Inc., which Arthrex had already challenged over the same knee surgery technology twice before.
