The Taiwan IP Court — Effective And Efficient

Law360, New York (September 23, 2009, 1:17 PM EDT) -- July 1, 2009, marked the one-year anniversary of the establishment of Taiwan’s Intellectual Property Court. During this first year, 1,480 cases were lodged with the court, of which the court managed to close 1025, for a closure rate of almost 70 percent. About 15 percent of these cases involved a party that is not of Taiwanese nationality.
