Tenax, Alcoa Settle In Geosynthetics Contract Spat

Law360, New York (September 10, 2009, 2:51 PM EDT) -- Geosynthetics manufacturer Tenax Corp. has reached a settlement with aluminum giant Alcoa World Alumina LLC, laying to rest a breach of contract suit brought by Tenax in an attempt to recoup $1.5 million in outstanding invoices and shipments refused by Alcoa.

Judge Benson Everett Legg of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland dismissed the suit without prejudice Wednesday, saying that the parties had settled their dispute and each would bear its own costs unless otherwise stipulated.
