DC Circ. Remands Covington Discrimination Suit

Law360, New York (September 10, 2009, 2:36 PM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has remanded part of a discrimination lawsuit brought against Covington & Burling LLP by a former employee with Crohn's disease, but upheld the lower court's ruling dismissing the rest of the suit.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit on Thursday dismissed Kathleen Barrett's claims that Covington subjected her to a hostile work environment and unlawfully terminated her employment, but said her claim the law firm denied reasonable accommodations for her medical condition warrants further review.
