WildEarth Sues EPA To Clear Pollution Plan Backlog

Law360, New York (September 10, 2009, 6:15 PM EDT) -- Environmental group WildEarth Guardians has filed a suit against the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, seeking to push the agency to clear out a backlog of air quality control plans submitted by states under the Clean Air Act.

In a complaint filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, the Colorado-based environmental group claims the EPA has repeatedly missed mandatory deadlines imposed by the CAA to review various states' pollution control plans.
