3rd Circ. Revives Pay Claim In Light Of Ledbetter

Law360, New York (September 11, 2009, 3:48 PM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has revived a Pennsylvania county worker’s pay discrimination claim in the wake of the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, which eased the statute of limitations on such claims.

In an opinion issued Thursday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit vacated its earlier decision and ruled that the Title VII claim of Allegheny County Police Department employee Mary Lou Mikula was actionable in light of the LLFPA.
