Warner Chilcott Backs Down In Birth Control Battle

Law360, New York (October 23, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Surrendering the fight, Warner Chilcott Ltd. has agreed to settle an antitrust lawsuit brought by the Federal Trade Commission over an agreement involving a generic version of blockbuster birth control drug Ovcon 35.

On Monday, the pharmaceutical company revealed that Warner Chilcott’s board of directors and FTC commissioners had approved the deal though the court has yet to sign off on the agreement.
