Green Group To Appeal FEMA River Levee Suit Ruling

Law360, New York (September 16, 2009, 7:56 PM EDT) -- An environmental group has said it will appeal a district court's dismissal of a lawsuit accusing the Federal Emergency Management Agency of improperly relaxing its insurance-related floodplain regulations for an urban levee project.

Great Rivers Habitat Alliance is challenging a ruling that dismissed its complaint for lack of subject matter jurisdiction before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, according to a notice filed Sept. 15 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.
