Duke Unit To Appeal Rancher's Leaky Pipeline Win

Law360, New York (September 17, 2009, 1:44 PM EDT) -- A former Duke Energy Corp. unit has said it will appeal a judge's decision denying it a new trial and a jury's award of about $183,000 to an Oklahoma rancher who said a pipeline had leaked on his property.

DCP Midstream LP, known until 2007 as Duke Energy Field Services LP, filed a notice of appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit in a case out of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma.
