Israel To Make Concessions To U.S. On Pharma IPR

Law360, New York (April 2, 2004, 12:00 AM EST) -- Israel plans to make concessions to the U.S. on intellectual property issues in the pharmaceutical industry, a senior official told a business newspaper.

“The U.S. knows that we’re planning to change our handling of exclusive data (the exclusive marketing of un-patented drugs) and will fulfill some of their demands, even though there’s no doubt that we have done no wrong,” Minister of Industry, Trade, and Labor Ehud Olmert told business daily “Globes.”
