$3.5M Damages Slashed In Coverage Suit

Law360, New York (September 17, 2009, 2:40 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has drastically reduced the amount of damages owed to two construction companies by General Casualty Co. of Wisconsin, saying a previous award of $3.5 million for failure to defend North American Precast Inc. against breach of contract claims brought over defective concrete represented an obvious demonstration of jury passion.
