Givenchy Wins Injunction In Trademark Knockoff Spat

Law360, New York (September 17, 2009, 1:32 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has signed off on a permanent injunction barring Miami-based "affordable luxury" retailer Bijoux Terner LLC from infringing one of French high-end designer Givenchy SA's trademarks.

Chief Judge Federico A. Moreno of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida approved the consent injunction Wednesday.

Under the terms of the ban, Bijoux Terner has promised not to use Givenchy's 4G trademark — which shows four of the company's stylized Gs in a square pattern — or to sell or advertise any products...
