Congressman Joins Push For Lasting Steel Duties

Bruce Braley, D-Iowa, has added his voice to a chorus of lawmakers and domestic steel producers urging the U.S. International Trade Commission to maintain anti-dumping duties on cut-to-length carbon steel plate from China, Russia and Ukraine.

Congressman Braley submitted a letter Wednesday as the agency conducted its sunset hearing on whether to continue the anti-dumping duties, joining advocates who argue they are crucial to preserving American jobs during a particularly precarious time.
