Law360, New York (September 17, 2009, 7:17 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Senate handily confirmed Judge Gerald Lynch to serve on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, elevating a New York federal judge who has presided over cases related to the collapse of Refco Inc. and the alleged sexual harassment at Madison Square Garden.
The Senate confirmed the nomination of Judge Lynch Thursday by a vote of 94 to 3. The judge has served on the bench of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York since 2000.
