Ex-Morgan Stanley Director Gets 7 Years

Law360, New York (September 18, 2009, 2:13 PM EDT) -- A former Morgan Stanley managing director has been sentenced to serve seven years in a Hong Kong prison in the wake of a guilty verdict for insider trading connected with an oil deal.

On Friday, the Hong Kong court hit Du Jun with the maximum prison sentence for his alleged crimes in addition to fining him more than $3 million and barring him from being a director or manager or dealing in securities, futures contracts for five years.
