Gauging Sexual Harassment Awareness

Law360, New York (October 9, 2009, 12:34 PM EDT) -- The 1990s brought traditional notions of sexual harassment into the public eye from the highest levels — female employees alleging sexual misconduct by male bosses in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

In a legal sense, sexual harassment has been more keenly in the public eye ever since October 1991, when sexual harassment as a workplace issue received enormous publicity during the confirmation hearings of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.
