IP Litigation Spending To Grow After Dismal 2009

Law360, New York (September 25, 2009, 2:58 PM EDT) -- Having experienced one of the sharpest declines ever in 2009, the money corporate counsel spend on intellectual property litigation is set to increase slightly in 2010, according to a new report from the BTI Consulting Group Inc.

A desire among corporate counsel to avoid lawsuits and clear costly litigation from their books resulted in a whopping 16.7 percent drop in dollars spent on IP litigation in 2009.
