U.N., Clinton Foundation Expands Plan For Anti-HIV Generics

Law360, New York (April 6, 2004, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A coalition of U.N. agencies and charitable organizations including former U.S. President Bill Clinton’s foundation unveiled a plan to buy and distribute generic AIDS drugs to developing countries at deep discounts.

The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), the World Bank, the Global Fund and the Clinton Foundation have agreed to a plan that effectively expands the Clinton Foundation program that has been available to 16 Caribbean and African countries since October.
