USDA Incorrectly Deregulated Modified Beets: Judge

Law360, New York (September 22, 2009, 7:01 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has sided with the Sierra Club and other environmental groups that argued the U.S. Department of Agriculture didn't do enough to study the impacts of genetically modified sugar beet crops before it deregulated them at the request of Monsanto Co. and another seed company.
