Belgian Authorities Ransack Electrabel, Others

Law360, New York (September 22, 2009, 7:01 PM EDT) -- Belgian authorities' probe into the country's electricity market continues, with competition regulators reportedly raiding several wholesale companies, including the Belgian unit of French utility giant GDF Suez SA, amid suspicion of antitrust violations.

On Tuesday Belgian competition agencies searched the premises of Suez unit Electrabel SA and others as their ongoing search into the electricity sector widens, Reuters reported.
