WTO Negotiating Chair Urges Lower Nontariff Barriers

Law360, New York (September 23, 2009, 7:19 PM EDT) -- The chair of a World Trade Organization negotiating group on Wednesday encouraged member countries to intensify work on nontariff barriers to trade.

Speaking at the start of a two-day meeting on nonagricultural market access, Ambassador Luzius Wasescha said nations should also exchange information on sectoral negotiations aimed at achieving greater tariff reductions for specific industrial products.
