Xerox, US End 9-Year Spat Over Cartridge Duties

Law360, New York (September 24, 2009, 5:54 PM EDT) -- The U.S. government has agreed to issue Xerox Corp. duty refunds for imports of misclassified printer and copier toner cartridges, a settlement that resolves a civil action brought by Xerox more than nine years ago.

Judge Thomas J. Aquillino Jr. of the U.S. Court of International Trade signed an order Wednesday approving a stipulated judgment on an agreed statement of facts filed by the parties on Tuesday that would allow the government to reliquidate three Xerox imports from June 1992.
