Wyeth Loses Bid For TRO On Generic Zosyn

Law360, New York (September 24, 2009, 1:17 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has scuttled pharmaceuticals giant Wyeth's request for an immediate temporary restraining order barring the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's approval for India-based Orchid Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.'s generic version of Wyeth's intravenous antibiotic Zosyn.

Judge Ellen S. Huvelle of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia filed a minute order Sept. 23 denying Wyeth's injunctive request to immediately roll back the FDA's go-ahead on a generic Zosyn, which Wyeth alleged in a lawsuit filed the same day was not sufficiently similar...
