Fla. Law Firm Wants Unpaid Fees From Litigious Porn Studio

Law360 (February 26, 2020, 10:10 PM EST) -- A Florida law firm is demanding nearly $300,000 in allegedly unpaid legal fees from a pornography studio that has filed thousands of copyright lawsuits against internet downloaders, according to a filing made Wednesday in West Palm Beach federal court.

Lomnitzer Law Firm PA, which over the years has overseen numerous smaller firms that filed those boilerplate lawsuits on the studio's behalf, asked the court to issue a default judgement against Malibu Media LLC, which hasn't formally responded to the law firm's breach of contract suit filed last month.
