Creighton, GE Settle Health Care Billing Contract Suit

Law360, New York (September 28, 2009, 2:02 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has signed off on a settlement in a breach of contract suit brought by Creighton University accusing General Electric Corp. and subsidiary IDX Information Systems Corp. of botching the deployment of a medical billing and appointment system.

Friday's dismissal, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska, came three weeks after Judge Richard G. Kopf scrapped a case scheduling conference, noting a successful round of mediation had taken place Sept. 1.
