Catheter Antitrust Claims Against CR Bard Nixed

Law360, New York (September 28, 2009, 5:09 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has tossed out antitrust claims against medical technology manufacturer C.R. Bard Inc., accused by hospitals of hatching a scheme that purportedly drove up prices of urological catheters.

Judge Thomas C. Mummert III threw out what was left of the case and granted Bard's motion for summary judgment on Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, saying it was the plaintiffs who were at issue, not urological products manufacturers.
