Litigating Foreign Patents In The U.S.

Law360 (October 26, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A United States district court recently allowed a plaintiff to amend his original complaint – asserting infringement of three United States patents – to add infringement claims for patents owned by the plaintiff in four foreign countries. Not surprisingly, that decision was appealed to the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. No decision has yet been announced.
