WaMu Judge Slams JPMorgan's Jurisdiction Argument

Law360, New York (September 30, 2009, 3:53 PM EDT) -- A bankruptcy judge has shot down JPMorgan Chase Bank NA's bid to revoke her jurisdiction over an adversary case it filed against Washington Mutual Inc. regarding claims to billions of dollars in assets, calling JPMorgan's position that she lacks jurisdiction “frivolous.”

Judge Mary F. Walrath of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware said Friday in court proceedings that she would not relinquish her jurisdiction over the fight between JPMorgan and Washington Mutual.
