Calif. Bar Pushes Back Decision On Regulatory Sandbox

Law360 (March 12, 2020, 10:42 PM EDT) -- The California State Bar on Thursday opted to push off deciding on forming a group to study the possibility of launching a so-called experimental "sandbox," a delay that frustrated access-to-justice advocates who think examining major regulatory changes can't come soon enough.

In a regulatory sandbox, legal service providers propose and execute new business structures and methods for delivering service that are currently illegal or considered unethical, all while under the watchful eye of regulators.
