Northrop Cries Foul In $35B Air Force Contract Battle

Law360, New York (September 30, 2009, 2:58 PM EDT) -- Northrop Grumman Corp. has accused the Pentagon of handing rival aerospace company Boeing Co. an "unfair" edge in the companies' battle over a $35 billion contract to provide the U.S. Air Force with its next generation of aerial refueling tankers.

By sharing information with Boeing about Northrop's bid in the original contract competition without doing the same for Northrop, the Air Force "distorts any new competition," Northrop Vice President Paul K. Meyer said in a statement Tuesday.
