Broker Accuses Prudential Of Antitrust Conspiracy

Law360, New York (October 27, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A benefits broker has filed an antitrust lawsuit against the insurance unit of Prudential Financial Inc., accusing the firm of divulging its proprietary work to a rival company and conspiring to bump it out of a lucrative insurance deal.

The lawsuit against Prudential Insurance Company of America was filed by broker Havensure LLC on Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

The Havensure suit accuses Prudential of violating laws against restraint of trade, tortuous interference, civil conspiracy and unjust enrichment....
