Online Data Harvesting Tested In Florida Lawsuits Over Yacht Listings

Law360, New York (April 9, 2004, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Two separate copyright lawsuits over online yacht listings could have broad implications for services that harvest information from other websites and resell their compilations to subscribers.

On April 1, Judge Steven D. Merryday of the U.S. District for the Middle District of Florida ruled judge ruled that an internet service that harvests information from other websites doesn’t infringe copyrights.
