CBD Co. Issues Recall After FDA Warning Letter

Law360 (May 21, 2020, 8:22 PM EDT) -- BIOTA Biosciences, a CBD injections manufacturer, has issued a recall of three of its products a few weeks after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration warned the company against touting its wares as treatments for opioid addiction.

The products being recalled from the U.S. and New Zealand markets are Cannabidiol Complex, which was sold as a remedy for pain to due detoxification; Curcumin Complex, which the company said could help with depression and arthritis; and a combination of the two.
